Fuze HR is proud to partner with a hands-on custom machine shop specializing in repair work, fabrication, and one-off custom projects for a wide variety of clients and industries. We are looking for a skilled Fabricator who enjoys problem-solving, working with their hands, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

This is not a repetitive production welding role. We are looking for a true shop fabricator, someone versatile who is comfortable welding, fitting, cutting, modifying, repairing, fabricating from scratch, and doing whatever it takes to get the job done right.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of materials and components
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and customer specifications
• Fabricate and repair custom parts, equipment, and structural components
• Fit, cut, grind, torch, and prep materials for fabrication projects
• Assist with teardown, rebuilds, modifications, and repair work
• Operate shop equipment including grinders, saws, drills, presses, and fabrication tools
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and help develop practical solutions
• Work independently on custom jobs with minimal direction
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
• Handle the realities of job shop work: measuring twice, adapting on the fly, and sometimes persuading parts into place with a hammer

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in fabrication, welding, or custom machine shop environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability
• Ability to work on a wide variety of custom and repair projects
• Comfortable working in a non-production, fast-changing shop environment
• Experience with fitting and layout work
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Skilled with common fabrication and shop tools
• Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in repair-based fabrication or job shop environments
• Machining experience is a plus
• Experience working with structural steel, equipment repair, or custom builds

Pay Rate: $24-26/hr

Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday 7am – 3:30pm
