Overview Piedmont Eastside, PRN Nights. The role involves performing patient assessments, administering respiratory care procedures, monitoring compliance with pulmonary therapies, and educating patients. The respiratory team supports adult ICU, medical/surgical ICU, progressive care units, acute care floors, NICU, and a pulmonary function lab. Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and blood gas analysis. Administer general respiratory care procedures and protocols. Perform critical care procedures in adult care areas. Maintain and manage all respiratory equipment. Provide patient education and monitor compliance with therapies. Assist with bronchoscopy procedures using Glidescope. Support pulmonary function tests and occasional EKGs on general care floors. Qualifications Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences. Certified Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications; actively practicing and maintaining required competencies. Preferred: One year of experience in professional respiratory duties. Equipment and Services Manage GE Carescape R860, Servo I, Drager VN500, HFOV NICU vents, Phillips V60, Bubble CPAP, REMstar CPAP, Smart Vest, and Airvo. Assist with bronchoscopy using Glidescope disposable bronchoscope. Opportunity to participate in Annual Pulmonary Conference, Leadership Development classes, and Skills Development Courses.
