Seven Healthcare are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II with recent OBGYN experience for a travel assignment in Cary, NC. In this role, you will support providers by assisting with clinical tasks necessary for patient visits and follow-up care. - Perform rooming and intake process, collect vitals, and gather patient data.
- Review patient's medication list, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
- Assist providers during treatments, examinations, and procedures.
- Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, and administer medications.
- Perform tests like EKG and eye exams under provider direction.
- Provide patient after-visit instructions and educational materials.
- Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
- Assist with patient registration, appointments, and referrals.
- Answer clinic phones and assist in emergencies under provider direction.
- Precept new hires and train medical assistants in clinic procedures.
- At least one year of full-time experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
- Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, AMT, CCMA, NRCMA, or NCMA.
- Basic Life Support Certification from AHA or ARC.
