Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Pensacola, where you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside fellow healthcare professionals. Our facility allows for hands-on training and direct patient interaction, enabling a meaningful and impactful work experience. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Velocity Physical Therapy, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical conditions, and mobility challenges.
• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's individual needs and functional goals.
• Employing various treatment methodologies, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Educating patients about safe movement practices, home exercise regimens, and injury prevention strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborating with orthopedic physicians and interdisciplinary medical staff to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
• Maintaining meticulous and accurate patient records within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
• Staying informed on the latest advancements in orthopedic physical therapy to continuously improve patient services and clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on elderly individuals, many of whom are recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain, or working to regain mobility and independence. You will play a critical role in assisting these patients through their rehabilitation processes, providing them with the support needed to achieve their utmost potential and well-being.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with patients and their families.
• The ability to think critically and develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments.
• A passion for facilitating patient recovery and a commitment to continuous personal and professional growth.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of two years of physical therapy experience, particularly in settings that involve elderly or geriatric populations.

Compensation and Benefits
