Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at a 175-bed acute care hospital.

Details

• 175-bed acute care hospital setting in the Respiratory Therapy department
• Patient population ranges from neonate through geriatric
• Common diagnoses include COPD, CHF, diabetes, and pneumoconiosis
• Uses 980 ventilators, V-60's, and RapidPoint 500 ABG Analyzer
• Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule with 36 weekly guaranteed hours
• Weekend hours required
• No call requirements
• No floating required

Requirements

• Virginia state license required, if applicable
• CRT or RRT certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Skills in general floor care, ABG collection and analysis, ventilator management, and NIV required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across a wide patient population from neonates to geriatric patients
• Scrubs required with no particular color designation for RT staff
• Coats, sweatshirts, tee shirts, hoodies, and denim are not acceptable attire
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
