Contract | Days (3×12-Hour Shifts, 7:00-19:30) | Rotating shifts possible across contract period | Expected 36 hours/week | Overtime may be available after 48 hours

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a PICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage patients presenting with respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme/onc diagnoses, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts
• Operate and monitor ventilators; maintain working knowledge of inotropic drips; support CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Float to NICU as required and to the Pediatric ED for admitted patient assignments when patients are holding; cross-training to PED assignment is optional
• Be prepared to manage up to 2 intubated patients simultaneously when facility needs require
• Document all patient care using Cerner electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active New Mexico RN License (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of PICU experience
• Influenza vaccination required
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Hands-on experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Experience managing ventilated patients and inotropic drip titration
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred for certain unit assignments
