Overview
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) opportunity in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date: 07/27/2026. Contract duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,478-$2,604 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. This travel - temporary assignment is in inpatient care with a focus on adult and pediatric units, including adult ICU, NICU, and PICU, plus general inpatient units. The role requires a current RRT credential and relevant experience; there are no guaranteed hours for this assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to adult and pediatric inpatients across units, including general care, adult ICU, NICU, and PICU.
- Manage ventilators, perform weaning, and conduct airway clearance therapies as prescribed.
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling, interpretation, and appropriate medication administration (nebulized therapies, aerosols, etc.).
- Monitor patient responses, adjust treatments, and escalate concerns in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) and ensure compliance with AHA guidelines for patient safety.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies, participate in rounds, and contribute to care planning with physicians, nurses, and therapists.

Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT not accepted
- Current RRT license in good standing
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP; NBRC Verification
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Teaching hospital experience strongly preferred
- Inpatient experience across adult ICU, NICU, PICU, and general units required
- All prior employment history details must be documented for submission (no gaps >90 days without explanation)
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as needed
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation not available in the area
