Rebar Estimator(Remote)

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years construction estimating experience;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed with an understanding of fundamentals in estimating and project controls;
• Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities;
• Fundamental understanding of construction phasing and organization of building components;
• Good time management skills;
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in estimating;
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team;
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients;
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks, including applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel;
• Experience using Bluebeam.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole;
• Perform quantity take-offs for reinforcing steel, wire mesh, and accessories;
• Prepare quotations for distribution to the customers;
• Review contract drawings and specifications for all requirements on a project;
• Maintain a record of all estimating in current estimating log;
• Customer communications regarding requirements, as needed;
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposal and budgets;
• Must adhere to safety programs and standards;
• Ability to express ideas and thoughts both in written and verbal forms in a clear and respectful manner. Must be able to communicate to customers and co-workers in a clear and concise manner;
• Working knowledge of estimating math skills and reasoning ability to solve practical problems with a variety of variables;
• Good documentation skills and attention to detail along with the ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision;
• Ability to recognize new business opportunities;
• Possess experience in relationship building, account maintenance, and outbound sales;
• Self-starter, organized and driven;
• Additional duties as assigned.
