Commercial Portfolio Manager & Credit Analysis

Job Summary: Responsible for managing a moderately complex portfolio of commercial and/or consumer loans to support asset quality, profitability, and relationship management goals of the bank.Education/Experience: A minimum of the following education/experience is required:Associate’s degree in finance or business administration and 5 years’ experience in commercial lending or credit analysis; ORBachelor’s degree in finance or business administration and 2 years’ experience in commercial lending or credit analysisJob Specific Responsibilities:Manages and monitors an assigned loan portfolio, including commercial, real estate, agricultural, or consumer credits, as applicable.Performs comprehensive financial analysis, including cashflow, global debt service coverage, collateral evaluation, and covenant compliance.Identifies and proactively addresses credit risk, trends, and potential problem loans.Prepares and presents credit memoranda, renewals, modifications, and extensions in accordance with bank policy.Ensures loan documentation, collateral perfection, and credit files meet internal policy and regulatory requirements.Monitors covenant compliance, financial reporting requirements, and exception tracking.Assists in internal and external audits, loan reviews, and regulatory examinations.Supports criticized and classified asset management efforts, including workout strategies when needed.Partners with commercial lenders and relationship managers to support new loan requests, renewals, and ongoing portfolio servicing.Participates in customer meetings as needed to discuss financial performance and credit structure.Serves as a resource to lenders regarding credit structure, policy interpretation, and risk mitigation.Prepares periodic portfolio reports, risk ratings, and concentration analyses.Other duties as assigned.Required Technical Knowledge:General computer skillsMicrosoft Office, specifically Word and ExcelExpectations of an Employee:Works well independentlyTreats all customers and fellow employees with respectExceeds customer expectationsMeets customer needsMaintain confidentiality of all bank recordsConducts interactions with honest, ethical, and strong moral principlesPerforms at the highest levelTakes responsibility for actionsDoes what is expectedLeads by example and takes initiativeWorks as a teamEfficiently shares information in a collaborating and proactive mannerPays attention to detailSolves problemsMakes sound decisionsManages time effectivelyPrioritizes effectivelyPerforms multiple tasks simultaneouslyShows up for work and is on timeComplies with all laws and regulationsCompletes all required trainingAdheres to Bank ValuesSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneAmount of Travel: NonePhysical Requirements:May need to sit/stand for long periods of timeSustained visual concentration while working at the computerTyping on a keyboard for long periods of timeHandle high stress environmentMaintain professional appearanceBenefits Include:Medical, Rx, Dental, and Vision insuranceHSA, FSA, and Limited FSAEmployer paid and voluntary Life Insurance/AD&DShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityAccident/Hospital Indemnity/Critical Illness voluntary plansIdentify Theft Protection401k with employer matchVacation, Sick Leave, and Holiday payTuition ReimbursementGym membership discountsAnnual payrate increasesIncentive based bonusesIt is the policy of FirstBank Southwest to provide equal opportunity employment (EOE) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
