UNC Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient diagnostic services across the lifespan at multiple locations, including: * Orange County: UNC Hospitals Hearing & Voice Clinic at Carolina Crossing * Chatham County: UNC Hospitals Audiology at Pittsboro * Wake County: UNC Audiology Services at Cary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services in a busy ENT clinic setting. The role will focus on the assessment and management of hearing loss, including evaluation, fitting, and programming of hearing aids and cochlear implants. The ideal candidate would have a m inimum of one year of experience in an academic medical center working collaboratively with otolaryngologists and related professionals and experience with student supervision and clinical teaching. Why Join UNC Hospitals Audiology? * Commitment Incentive — $10,000 for eligible candidates * Flexible Scheduling that supports true work‑life balance * Experienced Audiology Leadership dedicated to clinician support and professional growth * Advanced Clinical Practice within a nationally recognized academic health system * Teaching & Research Opportunities through collaboration with learners, trainees, and interdisciplinary teams * Career Development & Advancement across one of the nation's premier healthcare organizations * Collaborative Multidisciplinary Care alongside Otolaryngology, Rehabilitation Services, Hematology‑Oncology, Occupational Health, and other specialty partners * Diverse Clinical Experiences across multiple practice locations serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations throughout central North Carolina * State‑of‑the‑Art Technology with access to the latest diagnostic and rehabilitative tools and services Key Responsibilities * Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespan * Interpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment plans * Counsel patients and families on hearing loss, its impact, and management strategies * Manage the ongoing needs of hearing aid and cochlear implant users, including programming, troubleshooting, and follow-up care * Conduct verification of hearing aid fittings using best-practice technology * Administer comprehensive cochlear implant evaluations, including aided speech perception testing, and determine candidacy for implantable hearing technologies * Counsel patients on implantable technology options, function, and realistic expectations * Perform diagnostic testing for cochlear implant devices in both clinical and OR settings * Program and manage all available implantable devices in the adult population This is a full-time (40 hours/week), daytime position. Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes are essential. Other Information Other information: Education Requirements: ● Graduation from an accredited Audiology program. Licensure/Certification Requirements: ● Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. ● BLS within 3 months of hire date. Professional Experience Requirements: ● Audiologist experience preferred. Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: ● Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skills ● Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes.
