Research Assistant

Job Summary The Research Assistant will support a project to study giant planet dynamics. Run simulations of resonance capture and calculate associated transit timing variations. Participate in regular meetings to discuss research progress and ultimately write up results. Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Knowledgeable in introductory gravitational dynamics. Experience using Python, Matplotlib, and supercomputers. Required Documents Resume Hiring Range $19.00 to $25.00 per hour The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
