Location: Hybrid schedule of 4 days onsite and 1 remote in either NJ, GA, IL, or NYC Salary: $70K - $75K Base Salary

Must Haves:

  • 12 years of insurance claims or claims support experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based systems.
  • Ability to learn insurance regulations, coverage concepts, and claims processes.

My client is looking to hire a detail-oriented Claims Assistant with 12 years of experience supporting insurance claims operations and must have a Bachelor's degree. Experienced in assisting with claim intake, documentation review, file maintenance, customer communications, and claim tracking. Skilled at working with adjusters, brokers, insureds, and internal stakeholders to support timely claim resolution while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.

Relevant Experience

Claims Assistant

  • Supported the handling and administration of insurance claims by maintaining accurate claim files and documentation.
  • Assisted claims professionals with reviewing claim information, gathering supporting documents, and tracking claim developments.
  • Monitored claim activity and followed up on outstanding items to help ensure timely claim processing and resolution.
  • Communicated with claimants, brokers, vendors, and internal departments regarding claim status, documentation requests, and general inquiries.
  • Prepared claim summaries, reports, and updates for management and business partners.
  • Assisted with reserve tracking, payment processing, and maintaining claim records in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Coordinated with outside vendors and service providers to facilitate claim handling activities.
