This is an onsite role at our Tulsa, OK location. As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and driving change through the implementation of the World Class Manufacturing tools to solve problems and make improvements throughout the Tulsa manufacturing plant or other Whirlpool Facility. Lead all activities associated with labor utilization for operational areas assigned. Using strong data analysis, this position will own costing and projects regarding continuous improvement, as well as, the efficient use of the plant's human resources.Relocation available for eligible candidates.No Visa sponsorship is being provided by the company at this time.Your responsibilities will includeBe active in ergonomic studies and lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities.Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product featuresCollaborate with cross functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence.Strong data analytical skillsDevelop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savingsAssist in developing and implementing optimized workflows, layouts, and methods to enhance production flow, minimize waste, and improve resource utilization using lean principles.Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operationsDrive continuous improvement through detailed analyticsSupport WCM implementation by providing leadership to continuous improvement groupLead and manage multiple Kaizens of various complexity with minimal oversight.Minimum requirementsBachelors Degree2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment2+ years of industrial engineering or continuous improvement experiencePreferred skills and experiencesBachelors Degree in Engineering or other Engineering disciplines considered with experience in lean manufacturing, time studies, or process optimizationStrong background in World Class Manufacturing (WCM)Strong knowledge of MODAPTS, Proplanner tools, AutocadCreative problem-solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectivesOutstanding organization, communication, and leadership skillsCompetent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilitiesUnderstanding of factory costs and good financial acumenWhat we offerGenerous benefits package, Whirlpool employee discount, fitness & educational reimbursement programs, kitchenettes, and more!
