Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Hiawatha, IA. Provide coordinated, patient-centered care in a home health setting to help patients develop, regain, or maintain daily living skills. Assess occupational performance, implement individualized treatment plans, teach adaptive techniques and equipment use, fabricate and maintain splints and adaptive devices, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to document progress and ensure safe, effective care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist required prior to the start of the assignment.
• Proof of current CPR certification required.
• Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance required. Ability to travel locally and perform home visits.
• Minimum two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting required.
• Ability to perform physical job demands including heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing and walking.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication and maintenance of adaptive equipment and hand splints preferred.
• Experience working in home health settings preferred.

• Shift Name: Days.
• Work pattern: 5x8 schedule.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally required.
• May be required to float to other locations within the region.

Provide skilled occupational therapy services that evaluate and address self-care, work, leisure, and rest.
