As a proud member of the Michels Family of Companies, Mi-Tech collaborates with an internationally respected team to deliver integrated, end-to-end engineering, design, and construction solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.In your role as a senior structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you’ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects. Primary job responsibilities include developing calculation submittals, coordinating development of design and shop drawings, and supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses. You like to learn and try new things.You cringe when you hear: “Because that’s the way we’ve always done it.”You like to know your efforts are noticed and appreciated.You believe that individual commitment to a group effort is key to success.You want your work to make a tangible difference in people’s lives.What It TakesBachelors degree in Civil Engineering and have 4 to 8 years of experience in the design of temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.Masters degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred.Hold an active Professional Engineer license in any state.Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures (foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems) is a plus.Previous construction field experience is a plus.Candidate must possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a quickly changing environment.Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication are required. Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review TeamThis information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.Expected Salary Range$118,000—$177,000 USDAA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability
