Geotechnical Engineering Manager

As a Geotechnical Engineering Manager at Allstate Consultants, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a diverse range of geotechnical engineering projects in both the municipal and private development sectors. Working from our Columbia, MO headquarters, you'll manage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. The role involves a mix of field and office work, where you'll supervise field investigations, oversee laboratory testing, and provide critical insights based on geotechnical data interpretation. Your responsibilities extend to preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports, offering clear communication of technical information to stakeholders, and conducting detailed analyses of foundation systems, subgrade conditions, constructability, slope stability, and other pertinent geotechnical issues. Additionally, you'll oversee construction inspection and testing activities, collaborating with our civil and structural teams to address on-site geotechnical challenges. Responsibilities Project Management: Lead and manage a variety of geotechnical engineering projects, both municipal and private development, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion. Field Oversight: Supervise field investigations, including the use of our own drill rig, and direct laboratory testing to determine geotechnical parameters. Geotechnical Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with geotechnical design and construction recommendations, based on project requirements, field investigation, and laboratory determinations. Construction Inspection: Oversee construction inspection and testing activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical and other field related specifications. Provide on-site observation of critical or unique geotechnical and heavy civil construction. Field and Office Work: Engage in a balanced mix of field and office work to support project requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related field 5+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Proficient in engineering software and tools. Strong communication and teamwork skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr Allstate Consultants
