Our client is a $700M global manufacturer specializing in the automotive and industrial industry with reach into Europe and across the Midwest. The team is actively growing and looking for their next Senior Accountant to partner with the Controller to grow the Ohio based plants to the next level. The Senior Financial Analyst will support two of their Ohio based plants. This role will provide you with the opportunity to own the month end close process of two plants, mentor and guide a junior analyst, and partner with the Corporate Controller to make the plants more efficient!

Job Description

• Own the month end close process for two plants, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals and creating the financial statements
• Partner with the controller on implementing efficiencies in the accounting and close processes
• Partner cross-functionally with the operations and supply chain teams
• Gain oversight of the work of the junior analyst to ensure they are completing close on time
• Lead Mid-Month Forecast by identifying where they are in terms of budget, actual and identifying any potential issues
• Conducting inventory valuations, standard costing, operational accounting

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Exposure to standard costing and operational accounting
• Experience owning a month end close process
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
