Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ conditions. Establish an appropriate plan of care and involve patients according to their capabilities and desires. Plan, prepare, and carry out individualized physical‑treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction. Utilize standard physical‑therapy techniques and skills suitable for the patient’s age and condition. Direct and supervise physical‑therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel—assessing competence, delegating tasks, and establishing communication channels. Administer treatment involving physical agents (e.g., moist packs, ultraviolet/infrared lamps, ultrasound machines). Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree required. Licenses: Current Physical Therapist license in the state of practice. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Competencies: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and the capacity to handle a stressful environment.
