Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary students in a vibrant school environment near Meriden, CT. This full-time, onsite contract role involves working 35 hours each week, serving a diverse elementary caseload. With a few openings available, you could be splitting your schedule between two school sites, fostering communication skills and helping students thrive in their educational journeys.
What we’re seeking:
- Active Connecticut SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is highly encouraged; clinical fellows (CFs) are welcome—with supervision provided where possible
- School-based SLP experience is mandatory
- Willingness to split time across two locations, as needed
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently within district supervision bandwidth
- Must complete district fingerprinting and background checks
- Availability for Zoom interviews
- SLPAs will not be considered for this role
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to elementary students in individual and group settings
- Evaluate speech, language, and communication challenges using evidence-based methods
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies
- Engage in scheduled team meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
