Competitive Wages and Benefits: Hourly wages start at $18.65 per hour $3.00 per hour weekly perfect attendance bonus Family-friendly benefits include health, dental and vision, with low, out of pocket, insurance premiums Paid life and short term disability insurances Responsibilities Production Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for shift production operations Maintains a safe environment in which employees can perform their jobs as required Coach, train and instruct employees on how to consistently produce a quality product, while eliminating waste Monitor performances based on expectations Relay information daily to Lead Manufacturing Manager and other supervisors Oversees assigned processing activities, keeping consistent with our quality standards, federal and state regulations Maintaining and meeting the criteria set by Customers and National Beef in relationship to our current GMP and HACCP, and LOTO standards Facilitate, develop and evaluate employees in assigned areas to make sure that our standard operating procedures are being followed in a safe and consistent manner. Train and coach employees as needed Maintain manpower placement sheets daily, post overtime sheets and qualified training sheets as directed by the Lead Manufacturing Manager when needed Maintain the consistent flow of processing raw materials to produce maximum efficiency, quality and throughput. Investigate and monitor production problems to help reduce and/or eliminate waste Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment as it relates to plant policies and safety standards Maintain cleanliness in work area Other duties as assigned This is a safety sensitive position. This position is on-site. Qualifications Qualified candidates for the Production Lead position should possess the following: Good verbal and written communications skills; Good listening skills Ability to learn basic to intermediate applications in MS office, Excel Word and Power Point Ability to learn all production departments and how they operate and function Ability to recognize product defects Ability to read a thermometer and measuring devices Basic math skills Basic writing skills Basic computer skills Ability to read Ability to work closely with Supervision Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to push/pull up to 60 lbs Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, squat, twist and turn at waist, reach above shoulders, reach forward, stand for extended periods of time, walk Possess average dexterity in hands/fingers Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
