Handle all incoming telephone calls before the third ring using professional verbiage and a positive tone. Maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, and women's restroom. Manage reservations system, including seating within reservation times, quoting proper wait names when necessary, and not over or under-booking the restaurant. Escort guests to the proper assigned table while engaging in light conversation and providing a hospitable start to their dining experience. Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner. Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work. Wear proper uniform and maintain appearance standards. Accept and book reservations, offering alternative times when necessary. Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times. Offer bar cocktails and appetizers when wait is extensive. Keep floors, entry, and aisles clean and free of debris. Assist in bussing tables. Provide guest right of way and assist guests needing directions. Thank departing guests and welcome new guests. Be familiar with all restaurant information to answer questions. Answer all phone calls and fulfill guest needs, place calls on hold, direct to proper department, and communicate important info to managers. Provide information on daily menu additions, musical talent performances, cocktail and wine features. Qualifications Fun, energetic and professional attitude at all times while working. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Prior restaurant experiences is desired, but not required. We participate in the E-Verify program.
