Job Title: Paralegal – Contract Administration Industry: Construction / Electrical Contracting Assignment Type: Direct Hire Pay: $100,000–$120,000 per year (based on experience) Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM; 5 days in office Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). About Our Client: Addison Group’s client is a well-established electrical contractor with more than 25 years of experience supporting complex, mission-critical construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Their work spans large scale data centers, hospitals, telecommunications facilities, and government and military projects. Due to continued growth, their Legal Department is expanding and seeking an experienced Paralegal to provide direct support to the company’s attorney and partner closely with project, operations, procurement, and finance teams. Job Description Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal – Contract Administration to join our client’s Legal Department. This position will take ownership of the day-to-day contract administration process, from initial preparation and review through execution and project closeout. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with construction contracts and legal documentation, understand how to identify missing or inconsistent information, and be comfortable working independently while knowing when to upscale questions to counsel. Key Responsibilities Manage contracts throughout the full lifecycle, from pre-award through completion and closeout Support the company attorney with drafting, reviewing, organizing, and executing contracts and related legal documents Review and coordinate subcontracts, MSAs, amendments, NDAs, purchase agreements, change orders, and other commercial agreements Identify missing information, inconsistencies, deadlines, obligations, and potential issues for attorney review Maintain organized and accurate contract files and legal documentation Monitor contract deadlines, renewals, expirations, and other important milestones Coordinate with project managers, operations, procurement, finance, executives, vendors, and outside counsel Prepare contract summaries, correspondence, reports, and other legal documentation Track insurance, bonding, licensing, compliance, and other contractual requirements Assist with maintaining templates, improving workflows, and managing legal documentation Conduct legal research and provide general paralegal support as needed Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information Qualifications Paralegal Certificate from an accredited or recognized program highly preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred 5+ years of paralegal and/or contract administration experience within the construction industry strongly preferred Hands‑on experience supporting attorneys with contracts, agreements, document review, and legal documentation Direct experience working with commercial and/or construction contracts Familiarity with construction documentation, including subcontracts, MSAs, change orders, amendments, NDAs, and purchase agreements Strong understanding of contract terminology and the ability to identify contractual requirements and inconsistencies Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to independently manage multiple contracts, priorities, and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work independently while appropriately escalating legal questions or potential contractual concerns to counsel Experience with Vista or Timberline is a plus Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
