Behavioral Specialist

Job Summary Schedule: Part‑time – 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 3pm – 7pm. The Behavior Specialist supports the delivery of high‑quality Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions within Rogers Behavioral Health treatment programs, assessing behavior function, developing and implementing individualized plans, training patients and support persons, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and monitoring progress to achieve the best outcomes. Responsibilities Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services, including groups, to patients under the supervision of a Clinical Leader. Participate in supervision sessions and communicate regularly on patient progress and necessary adjustments to care plans. Administer outcome measures, review results, and modify interventions in consultation with the Clinical Leader to ensure desired outcomes. Document mental health services according to applicable regulations and payer expectations; maintain timely documentation of treatment plans, outcome assessments, psychosocial information, and other patient care data. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and aid in development of the treatment plan. Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team members and support systems as needed. Provide training support to direct care team members less familiar with CBT interventions and educate parents or support persons on effective support strategies. Ensure patient and facility safety and support staffing/scheduling changes as program and patient care needs require. Perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining knowledge of department processes, pursuing self‑directed learning, and participating in committees, task forces, and work groups as determined by management. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field. Valid Substance Abuse Counselor‑in‑Training credential (or state equivalent) if working in an Addiction Recovery program that requires this. Minimum 12 months of relevant Cognitive‑Behavioral Treatment (CBT) experience (clinical care, human services, or educational equivalent). For residential programs: current and active driver’s license and good standing (preferred for all levels of care). Training & Compliance Compliance with Residential Care Center (RCC) and Community Based Residential Facility (CBRF) for residential inpatient programs (preferred for all levels of care). American Heart Association CPR certification within 30 days of hire; bi‑annual re‑certification required. Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) within 60 days of hire/transfer; annual re‑certification required. CBRF training within 90 days of hire; additional unit trainings completed within the timeline established by leadership during onboarding. Pay Transparency Compensation for this role is between $21.57 and $31.04 per hour, varying by years of experience and education.
