Lead Electrophysiology Technician - Cardiac Catheterization

Description The Lead Electrophysiology Technologist (EPT) is a cardiovascular or radiologic technologist who is RCES Certified and has completed competencies identified in the Cardiovascular Technologist orientation and functions as a Technologist in addition to LEAD responsibilities as outlined in the job description. The Lead EPT will perform through the utilization of specialized equipment, under the direction of a qualified physician, procedures that include fluoroscopy and digital image capture resulting in the accurate diagnosis and/or optimal treatment of congenital or acquired heart arrhythmias while maintaining maximum patient safety and comfort. Required Qualifications: Associate's degree - Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular or radiographic technology. Upon hire: National Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, or Upon hire: National Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association 4 years of experience in a cardiovascular laboratory. 3 years of Electrophysiology technologist experience.
