City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift Nights - 7:00 PM- 7:00 AM Overview Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Medicine Unit. This position’s primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. License and Certification Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire Education RN-Associate’s Degree RN-Bachelor’s Degree RN-Diploma RN-Master’s Degree Unit Description This is a 24-bed unit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide care for respiratory compromised patients on BiPAP, high-flow and/or chronic long-term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusions and have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, pneumonia, and much more.
