Discover the Good Life.What You'll DoThe DOCR Dentist provides comprehensive general dental services to adults and youth in custody across DOCR facilities. This role includes diagnosing and treating oral health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and promoting preventive care while following clinic security protocols and documentation standards.Dentists work in secure clinical settings with trained security staff supporting all patient interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive dental care, including exams, restorative treatment, extractions, dentures, and preventive services for adults and youth in custody. Diagnose oral health conditions, develop treatment plans, and improve patient outcomes through high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team while helping shape and strengthen the DOCR dental program. Mentor and support dental assistants while maintaining professional, clinical, and safety standards. Minimum QualificationsDoctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Current license to practice dentistry in North Dakota, or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment. Current DEA registration. Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.A Different Kind of Dental CareerWhether you're looking for greater purpose, better work-life balance, or a chance to focus on dentistry without the burdens of private practice, this opportunity offers a rewarding next chapter.Transform Lives.
