Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and guides patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse communicates with physicians about changes in patients’ clinical conditions, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in MedSurg and Telemetry settings.
• Conduct clinical assessments and manage patient care effectively.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and treatment responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Required Experience

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Recent experience in MedSurg and Telemetry required.
• Minimum of 1 year previous acute care hospital experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Meditech EMR experience is preferred; training may be available for candidates without it.
