Registered Nurse (RN) - Corrections

Registered Nurse 1 Correctional Health

Shifts available: Days, afternoons, evenings. Weekend coverage and floating specifics to be confirmed.

Contract length: 2652 weeks.

Current, valid Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.

BLS certification.

Experience in medication administration, wound care, emergency response, and isolation precautions.

Preferred experience in med-surg, ambulatory care, or mental health.

Administer medications, including controlled substances.

Perform vital sign checks and physical health assessments.

Care for wounds and perform dressing changes, including wound VAC management.

Participate in emergency and rapid response situations.

Manage peripheral lines and administer oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management.

In-person interview required. Background check must clear prior to start. COVID-19 vaccination required (medical exemptions only).
