Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical With Telemetry (MS TELE) nursing position is based in Saint Louis, Missouri. The role involves providing specialized care to adult medical-surgical and oncology patients during night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The position offers an opportunity to work in a 233-bed acute care hospital environment, with a daily census of approximately 19 patients.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); current MO (Missouri) license or valid compact license; at least 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical or Telemetry units; experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; proficiency in managing ports, administering chemotherapy, interpreting dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, monitoring chemotherapy, starting and maintaining IVs, rapid response, and code team use.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Oncology, strong charting skills with EPIC.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within scope to meet facility needs.
• Additional Information: The unit specializes in medical-surgical and oncology care, featuring 28 patient rooms and two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients. Empathic patient management with adults across various diagnoses is essential.
