Lawn and Garden Service Technician Full-time Regular, Montfort, WI, US Reports To: Service Manager FLSA Code: Nonexempt Purpose: Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer‑owned turf equipment. Responsibilities Performs basic diagnostics and repairs on turf equipment Participates in Service EDUCATE Training Programs required for the development of skills and knowledge Reviews and explains any maintenance, repairs, or other service concerns directly with the customer and/or documents on work order Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments Accounts for all time and all material used in performing assigned duties Job Requirements Lawn and Garden Equipment Technical Experience preferred Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment Proficient oral and written communication skills Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly High School Diploma or equivalent experience required Valid driver’s license required along with a good driving record Must maintain a good driving record in compliance with company Motor Vehicle Records criteria throughout employment Must have reliable attendance Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays Basic Service Technician Certification preferred Forklift license preferred Benefits Paid Holidays & Vacation Time Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401K Plan with Company Match Routine Performance & Pay Reviews Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Safety Equipment Allowance Company Provided Uniforms All benefits subject to change. Pay Information The hourly pay range for this position is $18 to $26. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base hourly wage for this role. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made. Hours In Season Hours: Monday‑Friday 7am‑5pm, Saturday 7am‑12pm OR 7am‑3pm (rotation determined by store). *In Season Hours may be extended during peak seasons (planting, harvest, or any other peak selling season) to meet the needs of the store. Extended Hours are determined by the needs of the store and subject to change. Off Season/Winter Hours: Monday‑Friday 7am‑5pm. *Off Season Hours are from November‑March.
