• Installation:
• • Installing pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
  • Installing plumbing fixtures like sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
  • Installing appliances like dishwashers, water heaters, and washing machines.
• Repair and Maintenance:
• • Diagnosing and repairing leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning plumbing equipment.
  • Maintaining plumbing systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Other Tasks:
• • Clearing blocked drains and pipes.
  • Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople like contractors, electricians, and pipefitters.
  • Ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Providing estimates and quotes for plumbing services.
• Specific Plumbing Systems:
• • Working with water supply lines, drainage systems, and sewage systems.
  • Installing and maintaining fire sprinkler systems.
  • Working with gas lines (requires specialized training and certification).

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to talk or hear, stand, walk, bend, stoop, stretch, twist, use hands, and/or reach out for prolonged periods of time to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
• Dexterity: Cutting and threading pipes, attaching fittings, and welding seams
• Balance and agility: Working at heights and in awkward positions
• Hearing sensitivity: Being able to tell the difference between sounds that vary in pitch and loudness
• Must be aware of OSHA safety standards

Location: Nashville, TN
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: up to $38 per hour, DOE

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the available hourly pay scale for this position is $38 per hour, DOE. The actual compensation offered may vary depending on qualifications and other factors essential to the performance of duties and is determined by the hiring authority.
