Role Overview The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides patient-centered, occupation-based therapy to individuals of all ages, serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Role Overview The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) provides patient-centered, occupation-based therapy to individuals of all ages, serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Key Responsibilities Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient response, collaborating with the evaluating therapist and documenting communication. Deliver interventions tailored to patients' physical, cognitive, and behavioral needs, considering emotional and environmental factors. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members using effective teaching methods. Complete accurate documentation, including therapy notes and billing in the EMR system. Communicate progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers and team members. Perform range of motion assessments and train patients in activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing and cooking skills. Serve as a resource for conflict resolution and contribute to quality service initiatives. Qualifications & Skills Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT certified) BLS certification within 30 days (AHA) Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills #J-18808-Ljbffr Provident Behavioral Health
