Job DescriptionDuties
- Safely operate commercial trucks with MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS across designated routes, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Transport freight efficiently using various trailer types such as tanker, or specialized equipment like roll-off trailers.
- Load and unload cargo accurately.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and freight delivery records in accordance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Manage route driving responsibilities with professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries while prioritizing safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience for freight transportation.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and various trailer types such as tankers, dump trailers, roll-off trailer.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial trucking operations.
- Strong route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
