Our client, a leading Medical Device Manufacturing Company is looking for Mechanical Engineering - Technician 1 for an initial 6-month contract in Franklin Lakes, NJ. Job Title: Mechanical Engineering - Technician 1 Job Id: 26-01835 Location: Franklin Lakes, NJ Duration: 6 months contract Position Type: Hourly Contract Position (W2 only) Responsibilities and Qualifications Education: 5+ years experience, associate’s or BS in mechanical engineering. On site 5 days a week. Reporting to the Sr. Lab Manager, plans, performs and analyzes bench‑level engineering tests and/or research experiments designed to test feasibility of concepts or technologies for new product development. Assist, when relevant, in transfer of technologies into product development. Participate, when necessary, on product development core or project teams. Technical Skills Knowledge of statistical analysis. Superior communication skills, both written and oral. Details Independently plans and performs experiments that support new product or technology feasibility testing. Critically analyzes data generated from experiments; synthesizes resulting evaluations of product and technology feasibility, as well as ideas and concepts. Reports results of experiments to R&D management and peers; advises on product development implications and prepares technical reports when necessary. Maintains scientific equipment to support technical objectives and regulatory requirements. Maintains good laboratory practices (GLP) consistent with SM product development objectives and regulatory guidelines. Interfaces with engineering to support experimental designs and performs testing of product produced experimentally as required. Compensation The hourly rate for this position is between $33.00-$35.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
