Director of Sales & Procurement Position Overview The Director of Sales and Procurement is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue generation and optimizing supply chain efficiencies across all business units. This position ensures that comprehensive sales strategies aggressively pursue market opportunities while centralizing purchasing power to lower costs and improve margins. The Director provides cross-divisional leadership, serving as the core link between the sales pipeline and procurement logistics while driving profitability, operational excellence, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Cross-Entity Oversight Direct and supervise division managers and their respective teams to maintain cohesive operations across all business units. Ensure departmental tasks across sales and purchasing are executed accurately, consistently, and on schedule. Drive performance management, goal-setting, and ongoing professional development for department staff. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation Develop, implement, and oversee strategic sales plans to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets. Identify and expand opportunities for cross-selling and bundled services across company divisions. Cultivate and sustain high-level relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring lead development, account management, and estimation accuracy. Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on market outreach and lead analysis. Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Centralize purchasing across all entities to leverage economies of scale and optimize spending. Lead high-level negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for optimal pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establish standardized procurement policies, vendor compliance frameworks, and purchasing procedures. Evaluate and mitigate supply chain risks to maintain material availability for projected operational demands. Oversee material receiving, storage, packaging, and distribution logistics. Pricing & Financial Administration Establish dynamic pricing structures for materials, products, and equipment rentals using cost analysis and market trends. Conduct monthly product data and inventory audits to maintain record accuracy and update pricing models. Manage intercompany billing processes for shared inventory, material usage, and procurement resources. Partner with the Finance and Accounting department to oversee budgets, track purchasing variances, and manage cash flow. Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Experience with Degree: Minimum of 5 years in a senior sales, procurement, or commercial operations leadership role. Experience without Degree: Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in sales and supply chain management. Required Skills Core Soft Skills Communication: Advanced written and verbal communication for high-stakes negotiation and stakeholder presentations. Problem-Solving: Critical thinking to resolve complex logistical bottlenecks and commercial disputes. Organization: Superior time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments. Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to build consensus across cross-functional teams. Leadership & Technical Expertise Strategic Vision: Ability to define long-term growth targets while managing daily commercial execution. Financial Acumen: P&L management, financial forecasting, margin optimization, and budget oversight. Systems Proficiency: Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), SharePoint, and corporate ERP/CRM platforms. Supply Chain & Compliance: Deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, inventory control systems, contract regulations, and OSHA/HSE safety standards.
