As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and documenting security-related activity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.21 - $21.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM Wed: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM Thur: 03:30 PM - 11:30 PM Fri: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM Sat: 11:30 PM - 07:30 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain access-related records in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned utility facilities, buildings, gates, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns. Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to operational areas while following established procedures for restricted locations and authorized deliveries. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
