Provides specialized inpatient rehabilitative nursing care to patients on a 24-bed unit, ensuring optimal recovery and safety. Collaborates with therapy teams to deliver comprehensive treatment in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor patient care, including IV medications and remote telemetry, following clinical protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with therapy departments to support patient progress and independence.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system and adhere to unit policies and safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly to patient needs, ensuring safety precautions such as fall prevention and infection control are followed.
- Support other staff members and float to Med/Surg or Tele units as required.
- Participate in shift change reports, patient assessments, and care planning.
- Hold an active RN license and BLS certification.
- Possess at least one year of inpatient or rehab nursing experience.
- Have current medical/telemetry experience or higher acuity skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to work well within a team and foster patient independence.
- Be flexible to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts, including weekends as scheduled.
- Preferred: ACLS certification and experience with cardiac arrhythmia review.
