Job Summary
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves providing clinical care to obstetric patients, including labor, postpartum, and neonatal care, with responsibilities tailored to high-acuity maternal and neonatal populations. The role requires working rotating night shifts, with a focus on safe patient care under established protocols.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides nursing care in the Labor and Delivery department, supporting obstetric, postpartum, and neonatal patients. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal and maternal conditions, assisting with deliveries, and managing postpartum care. The unit has 4 postpartum beds and 6 postpartum beds, including 1 triage bed, with in-house on-call anesthesia and neonatology support.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); appropriate licensure; experience in Labor and Delivery plus Medical-Surgical/Pediatric nursing; minimum 1 year of nursing experience; valid license to submit.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, working every third weekend and holiday, with a response time call requirement.
• Additional Information: Nurses must have experience in obstetrics and medical-surgical pediatrics, be able to titrate drips such as Pitocin and cardiac medications, and float when necessary to other units. The unit utilizes GE Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring systems, and charting is done via EPIC. RTO requests are to be communicated upfront, with no additional RTO approvals after submission.
