Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments that consider patients’ histories and experiences to develop effective treatment plans. \n
- Create and implement individualized treatment strategies focused on healing and resilience, utilizing therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging participants to explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and ultimately promote their healing journeys. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated, holistic care for each patient. \n
- Provide crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate support and guidance to clients in need. \n
- Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to facilitate awareness and understanding. \n
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring quality care and meticulous record-keeping. \n
- Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in trauma-informed practices. \n
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in trauma therapy to continually enhance treatment effectiveness. \n
Our clients are predominantly individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking help in coping with trauma-related symptoms. You will work with a diverse population, including adults coping with PTSD and complex trauma, as well as individuals facing dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in empowering these individuals on their healing journey.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon is mandatory. \n
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, showcasing your capability to work effectively as a mental health counselor. \n
- Strong proficiency in trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities. \n
- Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies, with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy. \n
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and the ability to navigate technology effectively. \n
- Capacity to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. \n

- Experience delivering evidence-based therapies such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly valued. \n
- A background in working within outpatient mental health settings is advantageous. \n
