Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CST Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10 Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:45 - 17:15) Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty License: Not specified Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Trauma Level I experience preferred - Travel experience preferred - Charting system experience preferred Description: Surgical Tech position available for a 4x10 day shift. The hours are from 06:45 to 17:15. Call is required one night per week and one weekend per month. BLS and NBSTSA certifications are required. First-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates are not accepted and must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Scrubs are provided. Candidates will float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby as agreed upon during the interview. All candidates should possess skills in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to: - Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair - Appendectomy - Cholecystectomy - Hernia repair - Laminectomy/discectomy - Prostatectomy - Total hip replacement - Total knee replacement Daily average surgical case volume exceeds 40. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates must have a strong understanding of aseptic technique and care of scopes & fiber optic equipment. The role requires proficiency in working with robotic surgical systems and various surgical instruments.
