Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Labor & Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide care to obstetric patients throughout ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum stages. The role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions related to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment of patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Administer medications and interventions in a timely manner.
• Coordinate care within the multidisciplinary team.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as OBIX, integrating information into Stork for efficient patient management.
• Prepare and assist in surgical procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Labor & Delivery.
• Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NRP.
• Active New York RN license and verification through NURSYS report.
• EMR experience specifically with EPIC/Stork.
