Accounting Specialist

HEB Engineers is seeking a full-time Accounting & Administrative Specialist to join our growing team. The position will support the financial and administrative operations of our 40+ person engineering firm. HEB Engineers provides civil engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, and land surveying services across northern New England, with offices in North Conway, NH and Bridgton, ME. Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day accounting, billing, payroll, and financial administration activities. Support project billing and financial tracking using Deltek Ajera software. Assist with insurance renewals, compliance tasks, and business administration activities. Coordinate administrative and operational support activities. Work closely with leadership and staff across the organization. Help improve processes and support the continued growth of the firm. Qualifications Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or professional office experience preferred. Experience with Ajera or similar accounting/project management software is a plus. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple responsibilities. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
