Corporate Controller

Corporate ControllerReporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will play a critical role in building the accounting infrastructure of a growing biotechnology company. This individual will lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and process development while partnering with external service providers and business leaders across the organization.The Controller will own the monthly close process, support internal and external reporting requirements, and serve as the organization's primary technical accounting resource. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys building from the ground up and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Accounting & Financial ReportingLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processPrepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesDevelop and maintain internal management reporting packagesSupport external reporting requirements and coordination with auditors and advisorsEnsure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reportingTechnical Accounting & ComplianceServe as the internal resource for technical accounting matters and accounting policy developmentSupport annual audits and coordinate with external auditors and advisorsDevelop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controlsEnsure compliance with U.S. GAAP and evolving business requirementsSystems & Process ImprovementLead implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and related business processesDrive process improvements to support growth and reporting needsPartner across the organization to implement scalable solutionsSupport ongoing modernization of finance and administrative systemsFinance Operations & GrowthPartner with leadership on strategic and operational initiativesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesHelp build the foundation for a scalable finance organizationCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectivesAssist in developing the future accounting function as the organization growsCandidate ProfileCPA requiredBig 4, or large regional, public accounting experience strongly preferredStrong technical accounting and financial reporting foundationExperience improving accounting processes, controls, and reporting structuresComfortable operating in a lean, hands-on environmentBiotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare experience preferred but not requiredSelf-starter who enjoys creating structure in a growing organizationExperience with ERP implementations, system enhancements, or finance transformation initiatives is a plusBy submitting to this position, you are agreeing to be included in our talent pool for future hiring for similarly qualified positions.
