Labor & Delivery RN (Full-Time, Night)

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within established standards. Key Responsibilities Promotes patient and family‑centered care, educating on illness management, post‑treatment care, and medication use. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development activities. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across the care continuum. Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, considering patient preferences and barriers. Works in a safety‑sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practice at all times. Qualifications Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience: No experience required; less than 2 years preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license. Skills Critical thinking, effective communication, patient education, teamwork, adherence to safety standards.
