Assistant Store Manager Bedford Ace Hardware | Bedford, NY Full-Time | $30.00 per hour + Overtime Eligible Bedford Hardware is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help lead our team and support the daily operations of our locally owned hardware store. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do Lead and support a team of associates on the sales floor Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues professionally Assist with scheduling, training, and team development Help oversee merchandising, inventory, and store presentation Open and close the store as needed Work closely with ownership to ensure smooth daily operations What We're Looking For Previous retail supervisory or management experience required Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment Hardware, home improvement, or related experience preferred Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday Compensation & Benefits $30.00 per hour Overtime eligible Five days per week, consisting of four scheduled weekdays plus every Sunday Paid vacation and sick time Employee discount Profit‑sharing eligibility after one year Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility Why Bedford Hardware?
