Role Overview The Direct Support Professional – Program Assistant partners with the Program Director and the Associate Director to provide quality services to residents in the group homes. This position provides supervisory support, training, and assists with many tasks that support the residents as well as the staff. Responsibilities Partner with the Program Director to uphold the agency philosophy and complete day‑to‑day tasks. Supervise, train, and assist residential counselors. Prepare menus, grocery lists, and food shopping; schedule activities for residents. Ensure medications are stocked, coordinate with pharmacy, and manage medication documentation. Coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuation procedures. Assist with administrative tasks, participate in staff training, and share on‑call responsibilities. Monitor residents’ health and clothing needs, ensuring compliance with agency and government standards. Maintain extensive written documentation and collaborate with the agency’s administration, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, and Department of Human Services during inspections or investigations.
