Senior Tax Manager

Job TitleManage U.S. international components of the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision process.Prepare and review international tax calculations including Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, foreign tax credits, and FIN 48 reserve.Review foreign tax packages and support information required for financial statement audit, income tax audits and other jurisdiction specific tax examinations.Support the preparation of US international tax return workpapers and compliance filings, including Forms 1118, 5471, 8858 and 926.Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support tax-efficient structuring for business operation, expansion activities, and strategic initiatives, optimizing tax outcomes while supporting business objectives.Collaborate with regional tax managers to ensure timely and accurate completion of tax filings and regulatory submissions.Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of international tax compliance and reporting.Assist in management of international tax projects including coordination with external advisors.Support tax planning initiatives and cross-functional assignments as needed.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation or a related field required; advanced degree preferred7+ years of international tax experience, preferably within a multinational corporation and/or a public accounting firmCPA certification preferredHands-on experience with tax technology and compliance software, including CorpTax, preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and analyze complex data effectively.Responds to inquiries quickly with professionalism and tactSkillsStrong technical knowledge of US international tax rules and experience with financial and accounting systemsDeep understanding of ASC740 and US GAAP concepts in a global organizationAbility to read and interpret information accurately and conciselyMaintains high level of confidentialityAbility to organize, manage, prioritize, and handle numerous projects/tasks and collaborate with internal and external customersWorks well as an individual and as part of a team, willing and eager to help others and share knowledge and skillsWilling to be flexible and committed to strict reporting and tax deadlinesAbility to read and communicate effectively in Mandarin is a plusProficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Working ConditionsFast paced work environmentCollaborates with global and cross-functional teamsManage multiple deadlines and prioritiesPhysical RequirementsPrimarily office/computer based workAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periodsSafety RequirementsAll employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
