Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in an urban community-based hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical-surgical environments with telemetry or progressive care expertise. This role involves monitoring general medical and surgical patients, providing continuous cardiac and respiratory monitoring, and supporting post-cardiac or stroke care.

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2025 (negotiable)
• Unit Beds: 4
• Average Daily Census: 4
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:3 or 1:4 depending on interventions, CNA: Varies
• Floating: Within critical care division or Intermediate Care
• Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac, respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status
• Interpret cardiac strips and rhythms
• Provide care for post-cardiac procedure patients
• Manage respiratory failure patients using oxygen devices or NIPPV
• Titrate pharmacological drips as needed

Qualifications

Required:

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical with telemetry or progressive care
• Skills in cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and non-invasive ventilator care
