Job Title: Senior Workday Extend Developer
Job Location: Remote ( CA )
Contract Type: W2

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Active Workday Extend Certification is required.
• Workday Integration Certification is preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in Workday Extend development. Including hands-on experiencing in designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining Extend apps using IntelliJ or App Builder and solutions to address complex business and technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Extend platform and related technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, J2EE, Javascript, Python, etc.
• At least 5 years of experience in Workday Integration development including Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder, Document Transformation, Custom Integrations, and other Workday tools.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Reporting, Integration, Business Process and Security Frameworks.
• Experience in working with agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Git, etc.
• Excellent communicator, listener, collaborator, and problem-solver. Ability to translate esoteric technical concepts to non-technical collaborators.
• Experience in training and mentoring junior developers.
• Ability to work proactively and independently within a project framework, consistently meeting deadlines.
• Ability to contribute to technical decisions in a collaborative team setting, including architecture, estimation, product planning, and user story/requirement creation.
• Possesses previous consulting/advisory experience collaborating with international customers on multiple, simultaneous projects.

Description/Comment:

The Enterprise Technology Core Systems and Platforms team leads the planning, implementation, and sustainment of technologies supporting seamless and unique experiences. Workforce Technology focuses specifically on supporting the HR function.

The Workforce Technology team is looking for a Senior Workday Extend Developer to work closely with our clients and internal teams to understand their business needs and provide them with solutions that leverage Workday Extend capabilities and best practices. They will engage in designing, developing, testing, and deploying custom applications using Workday Extend platform. They will also help to upskill existing Workday developers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and standards.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend platform and related technologies such as Java, XML, XSLT, SOAP, REST, Javascript, Python, etc.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and analyze requirements, provide technical guidance, estimations, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
• Follow agile methodologies and adhere to coding standards, quality assurance, security, and documentation practices.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide resolutions or recommendations.
• Mentor and coach junior developers and share knowledge and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in Workday Extend and related technologies

MUST HAVE WORKDAY-
SOMEONE WITH ARCHITECT EXPERIENCE WILL WORK FOR THIS ROLE.. THIS PERSON WILL BE REVIEWING APPS FROM VENDORS AND ASSISTING WITH UPSKILLING CURRENT STAFF
