Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (IL PEL)
• EIPA Score of 3.4 or higher
• Experience in school-based sign language interpreting strongly preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom lessons and activities for a middle school student beginning at 7:35am
• Foster accessible communication between student, peers, and staff
• Contribute to the educational team to promote student growth and participation
• Adapt signing approaches as needed to accommodate student’s residual hearing
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
